Job Description

As a Senior Specialist, PC Express Communications & Engagement, you will support the Senior Manager, Store Communications in building out cross-functional internal communications across our PC Express departments and enterprise. The successful candidate will produce communications in a wide variety of formats (email, Powerpoint decks, internal learning tools) to meet various stakeholder requirements. You exude our CORE values, and are an ambassador for our store colleagues, helping develop employee engagement campaigns and implementing feedback into actionable insights.
Note: This role is hybrid - 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Support and build urgent/need to know templates and communications across all channels as required.
  • Coordinate and take a lead role across our communication channels and relevant tools.
  • Support our go-to market strategies and build calendaring against multiple initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Loblaw Digital teams including Implementation, Operations, Merchandising, Customer Growth, Customer Service and Tech to support communication requirements.
  • Offer and support new and existing methods to increase colleague engagement and awareness of key initiatives.
  • Leverage Loblaw corporate communications platforms and complement those with new processes/procedures.
  • Gather colleague feedback to continuously improve how we get the right information at the right time across our business.
  • Analyze feedback from previous programs to support continuous improvement, changing with the needs of the business.
  • Develop and distribute execution guides for seasonal programs

 

Does this sound like you?

  • Three (3) or more years of experience in communications, preferably in retail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, a belief in plain language, and an ability to write in various styles and formats.
  • Experience supporting change management for medium to large-scale initiatives.
  • In-depth knowledge of communications best practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a rapidly changing environment with multiple and shifting deliverables.
  • A positive attitude and a desire to learn.
  • Bilingual (English and French) is a bonus
