Job Description

At Loblaw Digital, we know that our customers expect the best from us. Loblaw Digital is the team responsible for building and operating the online businesses of Canada’s largest and most successful retailer. Based in downtown Toronto, we are an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and collaborative team working towards transforming the way Canadians shop by creating leading eCommerce experiences in the online grocery shopping, beauty, pharmacy, loyalty, and apparel spaces, and we’re only just getting started! To achieve these goals, we are looking for talented and passionate individuals who want to collaborate and solve challenging problems and make significant and lasting impact on Canadians.

Our Program Managers are integral to how we operate at Loblaw Digital and are responsible for not only leading teams through strategic initiatives, but also are responsible for ensuring collaboration and accountability amongst our cross-functional teams. Program Managers are strategically placed throughout our organization when cross-functional workstream alignment is crucial to our goals.

As a Senior Program Manager, you will support strategic initiatives that span across multi-disciplinary teams (both at Loblaw Digital and with the broader enterprise). You will lead overall plan and communication management, manage interdependencies within initiatives and teams, partner with cross-functional experts, and communicate progress to stakeholders. Candidates should have extensive experience managing and launching large-scale technology projects and be comfortable with both upfront and ongoing planning documentation, bridging teams and building relationships, and partnering with stakeholders at various levels.

**Please note, this role is Hybrid - 3 days in office and 2 days remote**

What You'll Do

  • Lead plan management for initiative planning and ongoing tracking as it relates to overall delivery cross-functionally
  • Facilitate and enable clear, succinct communication between cross-functional partners
  • Own initiative vision (the big picture) and health documentation (progress at any given time)
  • Lead with influence while managing initiatives across multiple workstreams; communicate proactively to mitigate potential impacts and identify risks/opportunities
  • Drive efficiency, decision-making and action towards goals and initiative vision
  • Embrace our culture and drive collaboration, partnership, and excellence

Does This Sound Like You?

  • 5+ years of experience managing and leading e-commerce and technology initiatives (media experience preferred)
  • Exceptional project/portfolio and time management skills bridging both strategic and tactical needs
  • Superior inter-personal skills with the ability to drive, lead, and partner; thrives in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment ensuring accountability, alignment and ownership
  • Clear communicator through forward, proactive, and strategic thinking
  • Proven leadership abilities in managing multiple workstreams, teams, and outcomes
  • Experience creating and driving processes, articulating team needs, and clarifying next actions with senior stakeholders
How you’ll succeed

At Loblaw Digital, we seek great people to continually strengthen our culture. We believe great people model our values, are authentic, build trust and make connections. We’re able to keep innovating because our colleagues are passionate about their work and excited about the future of eCommerce. You will get to work with some of the best digital minds and will have the support of world class technologies to craft products our customers will love!

If you are unsure whether your experience matches every requirement above, we encourage you to apply anyway. We are looking for varied perspectives which include diverse experiences that we can add to our team.

We have a long-standing focus on diversity, equity and inclusion because we know it will make our company a better place to work and shop. We are committed to creating accessible environments for our colleagues, candidates and customers. Requests for accommodation due to a disability (which may be visible or invisible, temporary or permanent) can be made at any stage of application and employment. We encourage candidates to make their accommodation needs known so that we can provide equitable opportunities.
